Dr. Payal Raghuwanshi is a fertility specialist and gynaecologist. A Gold Medalist in MBBS, she went on to complete her M.S. in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from BJ Government Medical College and Sassoon Hospital, Pune, followed by advanced Fellowship training in IVF and Reproductive Medicine at Bansal Hospital, Bhopal.
Her early years were shaped by rigorous clinical exposure in busy tertiary-care settings, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based women’s health and reproductive care. Alongside clinical training, she strengthened her academic grounding through research work, and later cleared MRCOG Part 1, reflecting her commitment to continual learning and international standards.
A formative phase of her career was taking on real leadership inside fertility practice. She has previously served as IVF Unit In-Charge at Chirayu Hospital and Fertility Center in Bhopal, managing the day-to-day functioning of the unit while guiding patients through complex decisions, timelines, and treatment pathways. She has also worked in teaching and institutional environments, including as an Assistant Professor at Nair Hospital, Mumbai, which further refined her ability to explain difficult concepts with clarity and patience.
Over time, Dr. Raghuwanshi has come to believe that fertility medicine is as much about steadiness and trust as it is about protocols. Every case carries its own uncertainty, and supporting patients through failed cycles, difficult waits, and changing plans requires time, listening, and a calm, structured approach.
She remains actively engaged with the fertility community, including speaking at national forums such as Fertivision 2024 (IFS Conference), and contributing to professional development initiatives, including her role as Coordinator for the Nurses Empowerment Program with the Indian Fertility Society. Beyond clinical work, she also volunteers through a free medical consultation initiative supporting Bhopal Gas Tragedy survivors.
Through Ikivana, Dr. Raghuwanshi supports a patient-first model of fertility guidance that combines clinical excellence with thoughtful counselling and practical clarity. Her goal is simple: help patients feel informed, supported, and emotionally steadier at every step, so the journey to parenthood, however long, feels more navigable and less alone.
